After our successful event on the shortest day of the year, we will now be back to celebrate the longest day! On the 21st of June we celebrate Summer Solstice with 108 Sun Salutations. (FREE class!!)
Are you ready for it? Of course you are!! It is not a class where we will have you grinding your teeth and swearing :)
It is for all levels and you are free to take a break at any time. You are stronger than you think and will get in touch with 'your inner drive'!
Come along – you will be amazed by the joint group energy and meditational state we can reach together. And you’ll have the satisfaction of a ‘workout’ before your weekend starts – a welcome bonus! :)
We celebrate the longest day, the sun and its life-giving energy!
So why 108? Can we not just do one? Sure we can, but it would be a rather short class :)
The number 108 is in many cultures a sacred symbol. 108 “symbolises universal love, eternity and awaking.” Many Yogis like to use a necklace of 108 mala beads during a yoga flow or a meditation session. Additionally, in Ayurveda, which is a type of natural medicine used to bring the body into balance, there are 108 sacred points on the human body. Or if you’d rather give it a more scientific explanation, the distance between the sun and the earth is 108 times the sun’s diameter.
After the session we offer a drink and a moment to reflect, share the moment and socialise. Places our limited so don’t forget to register!
