The Bob Graham Round pt.2
The rules are fairly simple and the distance is reasonable for a trained ultra runner, only a third of the attempts are successful. The difficult terrain, weather conditions, navigation and a test of willpower all add to making this a tough challenge….

This year Francois left you all a message, a few words to encourage you, and to transfer his passion for the trails, nature and running. So no matter your level, age or running times, go out there and give trail running a try.
Running with the best - A Day on the trails with François D'Haene
Although Trail running is a fairly ‘new’ sport, some of its athletes and runners are definitely becoming iconic.
Francois is one of them. As a former physiotherapist, father of three, and wine producer he has an impressive list of achievements in running, ski touring and adventure sports. To date he has 35 victories in Trail running all in world class events, like winning the UTMB not once but 3 times (and improved the course record in 2017!)
Back in 2014 he was the first person to win the world trail tour.
Francois is also known for setting some of the fastest known times such as completing the GR20 in Corsica in just a little over 31h. (For the average person, it’s a fifteen-day hike). Read more

Running on the hottest day – Tips & Tricks
One of the hottest days in Belgium with temperatures reaching 40 degrees C.
So I thought, i know - I’ll give running a try ☺
Fact is that the better you are trained, the better you might be able to cope with the heat. Either way, general advice is to take it a bit slower on hot days but if you do want to clock your kilometres, here’s a few recommendations:
What is good posture? How do I know if I'm standing correctly?
This is a short version of a daily posture check you can do. Use this video to get started so that you can then do the steps by yourself in 8 seconds. Ideally to do in the morning while waiting for the kettle to boil, standing in a queue, taking a screen break or even when you're on the phone.
Make this your 8 second daily mantra to reset your posture to neutral.
Are you sitting comfortably?
Are you sitting comfortably? Maybe just a little too comfortably? Did you know that your body adapts to the things we do most? No wonder we are all olympic sitters! : )
Aim to change your sitting position throughout the day - at least every 30 minutes. You can even set a timer to remind you. It doesn't matter which position you choose - a chair, a swiss ball, standing - it's the variation that is the key.

“Everybody started out being able to run barefoot”
Our feet evolved over millions of years to be the best locomotion technology for our bodies. Being barefoot lets the feet use all of its complex parts. Strong, healthy feet are all we need to move effectively and efficiently. Anything that we put it in alters the foot function in one way or another. Support is unnecessary unless one is unluckily born with bad anatomy. Putting good feet in unnecessary support weakens them. The solution is simple and it’s here.
How to be light on your feet when running?
When Your Foot Hits The Ground – Why a good landing phase is so important.
When we run, our body has to endure 2,5 to 3 times our body-weight on each landing. In a sprint, this can even go up to 7 times. How is it possible that our body can cope with such stress without injury? Well, first of all, it's important that we acknowledge the wonder of the body and the fact that we are actually built to run. Then we can move on to discuss proper running technique. Below we discuss the benefits of both – both design and technique.
